Flumo’s digital catalogue expands wit ha sample of old and new friend excursions! Old pal Hyman Bass provides a seemingly melodic opening for this sampler. With dreamy piano and floating synths, the images of vast grape fields and sunny weather set a groove for a warm package of music.
Recent addition to the family, Jo Pariota, adds his touch of groove with a track that continues Pariota’s artistic search from where he left off with FLR049. Rhythm is set with interplay of bass and hihats, while the vocal pushes for the dark but funky vibe.
Carrying with the idea of funkiness, Bodega offers up a jacking mix straight of a DAT. With a fusion of synth and percussion, accompanied by female scat and one-liners, Bodega mixes tones of garage, soul and house for a crazy good bouncer of a track.
Label’s mainstays T.W.I.C.E. introduced a take on spiritual + modern industrial sound. Offering up whinning synth, underlined by machine rhythms, the guys help evoke a kind of modern spiritual tribute to a rain dance. With some acid and brutal male chants thrown in for good measure.
Ray-Vidie follows with a further exploration into the modern industrially spiritual sound, with a slower, chugging, swinging rhythm and pulsating mixture of synths.
Another favourite of the label, Asedub, introduces a more vocal take on the spiritual of the modern dance. Vocal chants mix well with the floating pads, making a track much needed for that comforting sense of fullness, so craved after a good but exhausting night.
Adding tribal to the spiritual, Skinnybone Love exasperates the vocal exclamations with a more mystic sound. The hypnotic groove is filled with a tasteful mix of synths and rhythm to bring the inner consciousness out for a boogie.
The compilation culminates in a raw release of multitudes of sound, all playing homage to the previous tracks. You’ll find acid, percussion, hihat interplay, and driving synths to gather energies for the last thrust of the hips for the of a final dance.
